Capt. Paramesh Prasad
Global maritime executive with 30 years in shipping, from the bridge to the boardroom. For over two decades, I have served on executive leadership teams, leading Strategic Partners, Mergers & Acquisitions, Asset Management and Commercial Development. I have overseen US$1 billion+ per annum business across Asia, the Americas, Europe and Africa. I have worked on acquisitions worth over US$500 million, turned around loss-making businesses and helped scale a four-ship fleet to more than 75 vessels, steering companies through every major shipping cycle since the Global Financial Crisis.
A certified Master Mariner, I spent a decade at sea with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines before moving ashore. I completed the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA and the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, strengthening my expertise in strategic leadership, business management and executive decision-making. That hands-on grounding comes with long-standing relationships on both sides of the market: oil majors and global commodity houses on one side, and small and mid-sized cargo and tonnage interests on the other. This gives Leo Maritime a real edge. We bring big-company discipline and market reach to every owner, charterer and cargo we work with, however large or small.

Experienced maritime professional with 15+ years of experience across containerships, chemical and product tankers, bulkers, and PCTCs. Strong expertise in ship management, commercial operations, chartering, stakeholder management, and business process improvement. In my last engagement, oversaw 30+ vessels valued at US$600 million+ and handled complex vessel operations, transactions, and process improvements across global markets.
Skilled in voyage operations, commercial negotiations, contract management, demurrage, cost control, and vessel performance. Fluent in English and Mandarin, with conversational Hokkien. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime & Logistics Management and a Diploma in Maritime Transportation Management.
